Job Title: Technology Advisor – Outside Sales

Job Summary
The Technology Advisor – Outside Sales is a performance-based sales role whose primary role is to hunt and uncover new leads and opportunities. Working with high levels of detail, organization and a sense of urgency, the Technology Advisor is required to grow our business with mostly new and some existing referral relationships within the design and build communities by actively networking and seeking new opportunities. The Technology Advisor is also required to develop and execute partnerships with key vendors and clients. The Technology Advisor plays a critical role in setting proper client expectations in scope, budget, and timeline so that the rest of the Denizen team can successfully perform their duties that support the Advisor. Essential sales categories will include low voltage infrastructure, wired and wireless networks, racks and power systems, audio and video systems, home theater, lighting, motorized shades, environmental controls, communications systems, security, surveillance, access control and systems integration (automation).

Identify, track, manage and capture new business and maintain existing clients.
Develop and execute partnerships with key vendors that can benefit Denizen through increased revenue.

Full electronics system selling, assist in testing and training walk through with client.
Ensure proper proposal creation, specification, and pricing according to Denizen pricing standards.
Plan and manage the delivery of project scope, pricing, and timeline to internal and external clients.
Fill out weekly documentation of lead activity, forecast and needs assessments.
Plan all time spent weekly on various activities in Outlook calendar.
Attending after-hours marketing or training events to promote our company within the architectural and design communities or increase skills.
Spend some personal time developing skills outside of work hours.
Estimates labor budgets for Engineering, Project Management, Installation, and Programming with high accuracy.
Creates and/or supports the creation of Internal and External Change Orders.
Skills and Qualifications Required
Must possess maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Skills needed:
Collaborative work ethic.
Experience implementing sales strategies.
Experience in customer relationship management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize decisions for short and long-term project objectives.
Ability to multitask while upholding quality and integrity or work.
Must possess maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Skilled at Microsoft Office suite of products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Reliable and on-time attendance.
Sense of urgency to act and drive opportunities forward.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor always.
Education/Experience
Education – High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The Technology Advisor will be required to work in the office, at home and travel to job sites. This position will have contact with high value components and client owned property and must take proper precaution not to risk damage to either. There will not be any heavy lifting requirements for this position. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
