About the role Due to growth in the business, we are currently seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to join our established team. The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Identifying opportunities with existing client base and converting to new sales
Responding to new enquiries (small to medium projects) and managing
the sales process from initial client contact through to project handover
Working with the Project Estimator to ensure system quotations meet the
clients’ needs and budget
Establishing new professional relationships with high-end builders,
architects and designers
To be considered for this position you will have a proven track-record in a sales,
consultancy or business development role or have experience working in a similar
role in the home automation industry. Candidates with no industry experience may
apply but must be able to clearly demonstrate an aptitude for technology and
experience selling solutions of a technical or complex nature.
This role could also be suitable for professionals with a background in IT or software sales with a passion for smart home technology. Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
• A base working knowledge of audio visual and IT-related products and systems
Exceptional problem-solving skills (and relate to previous work experience)
A desire to achieve the highest standards in their work
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Evidence of building client relationships in a previous role
A professional, positive and reliable work ethic and a "can do" attitude
A 'customer-centric' work method with the ability to create solutions that
are win-win for the business and client

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Pre-existing relationships with building professionals, in particular residential architects
Experience of automation control systems with particular knowledge of
Savant, Crestron, Control4 & Lutron
Knowledge of lighting and LED control technologies
Familiarity with IT networking, security products and systems including
access control and CCTV
A basic understanding of the building construction methods for residential
