Working locally to its Kent HQ, as well as nationally and internationally (restrictions permitting!), Butler Harwell operates in the super-prime residential arena, and is seeking to add an additional specialist engineering team to its rapidly expanding fleet, led by an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Senior / Lead Engineer.
The ideal candidate shall have a minimum of five years’ experience working within the audiovisual and custom install industry, with a good working knowledge of residential AV, including but not limited to:
Home Cinemas & Media/Games Rooms
Building Management Systems & KNX
Whole-Home Audio & Video Distribution
Wired & Wireless Data Networking
Lighting Control Systems
Skillsets required include:
First Fix & Second Fix Installation of the Above Listed Systems
Rack Planning, Building & Commissioning
Infrastructure Cable Termination & Head End Installation
Cable Testing & Certification
Programming & Commissioning of Above Listed Systems

Our ideal Senior / Lead Engineer will be a key member of the team, trusted by the Directors and Senior Managers that work will be handled efficiently in their absence. Time management is a key skill, not just for themselves, but for their partner team member.
An ability to grow with the company and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of its key aims and objectives will be a key attribute of any successful candidate.
This is a full-time field-based role, with an expectation that applicants live within a sensible distance from the company head office at TN27 8PG such that stock and materials can be loaded and unloaded at convenient times of day.
A laptop will be provided, along with an expenses card for general day-to-day company use.
Candidates will be expected to purchase and maintain their own set of light tools for their day-to-day work, for which an interest-free loan is offered, but expensive and specialist tools and/or equipment are provided by the company.
The role includes 20 days paid holiday plus 8 days bank holidays per year. Additonally, any working days between Christmas and New Year will be paid, despite our office being closed during this time.
It is essential that candidates have a full UK driving licence, as well as the use of their own car for the occasional purpose of travelling to and from supplier training, or job sites when the main commercial vehicles may be required for different purposes. Mileage will be paid at 45p per mile.
Experience with the following software packages is desirable:
Office 365 (Word/Excel/Outlook etc.)
Experience in D-Tools would be extremely welcomed.

Additional Salary Information: The salary offered will be highly competitive and commensurate with experience, with a discretionary bonus paid on an annual basis.
